Inventory and appraisement of the effects left by the intestate death of
Helena Petronella Nel, born in this Colony and departed this life in the
fieldcornetcy of
Riet River in the district of
Uitenhage , on the 29th July 1830 aged 33
years, to her surviving husband Wessel Christoffel van der Merwe, and to their
eight minor children begotten in marriage named
an account of the aforesaid estate has been taken in writing and appraised
by the fieldcornet Stephanis Bekker, Stephanis Engelbertus Ferreira and
Marthinis Schoeman, and consists as follows, viz:

I have carefully and truly appraised the effects set forth in this inventory
and that to the best of my knowledge and skill, the true valuation at that time
was as afore specified.
