MOOC8/73.9 {18301123} 23 November 1830 Johannis Petrus Botha Hendrina Susanna Botha Res: 12 January 1831. Inventory and valuation of all such goods and effects as have been possessed in communion by the late Hendrina Susanna Botha and surviving husband Johannis Petrus Botha Hendrik’s zoon and which are left by the former who died 17 September 1830 ab intestato. Thus done and inventoried at Graaff Reinet this 23rd day of December 1830 according to the declaration of Johannes Petrus Botha Hendriks son who declared that to the best of his knowledge he has given up all the effects that belong to said estate, with further promise should any thing be found afterwards to add it to this inventory for all which he offered to make oath if required. The said estate being appraised by Mess:rs David Christian Straus D:s son and Jan Gabriel Vermeulen Piets son in the presence of me the undersigned Agent to the Orphan Chamber and witnesses. As appraisers: David Chistiaan Straus, Jan Grabreiel Vermeulen As witnesses: P:C: Wanestrand, J:P: Meintjes Johannis P: Botha In my presence: J: Auret, Agent We the undersigned David Christian Straus Davids son and Jan Gabriel Vermeulen Piet’s son do hereby swear that the appraisement in the annexed inventory of the estate of the late Hendrina Susanna Botha and surviving husband Johannis Petrus Botha Hendriks son is a just, proper and true valuation to the best of our knowledge.
