Inventory and appraisement of the effects left by the intestate death of
Johan Hendrik Mei, 35 years of age, born in this Colony and departed this life
on the 3rd of September 1829 at his place called
Jammer Fountain situated in the fieldcornetcy of
Krom Rivier in the district of
Uitenhage to his surviving widow Isabella
Herculina Magdalena Landman and to their three minor children begotten in
marriage, named
on acount of the aforesaid estate has been taken in writing and appraised
by the Fieldcornet Hendrik Peter Meeding and the undersigned J:P: du Preez, and
consists as follows, viz:

We, the undersigned, having been called upon by the Agent for the Board of
Orphan Masters in the district of
Uitenhage to
act as appraisers upon the valuation of the property belonging to the estate of
Johan Hendrik Mei deceased and surviving widow Isabella Herculina Magdalena
Landman, do make oath that the annex is a just, proper and true valuation
thereof to the best of our skill and knowledge.
