MOOC8/71.1a {18280312} 12 March 1828 Pieter Willemse van der Merwe Francina Magdalena Visser Inventory and appraisement of the effects left by the intestate death of Pieter Willemse van der Merwe Izaaks son to his surviving widow Francina Magdalena Visser and to their minor son begotten in marriage named and of the property belonging to the same of which an account was taking in writing by the Field Cornet N:E: Lambrechts in the presence of witnesses, and wherof an inventory and appraisement was made by the undersigned commissioned Members of the Orphan Chamber as follows, viz. Thus inventoried and appraised at the Orphan Chamber of the Cape of Good Hope on the 12th of March 1828 according to the statement delivered by the widow named in the premises, who declared to have acted with good faith in this respect and not to have kept any thing concealed belonging to the estate abovementioned, and the appearer further declared that she is and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm her statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time, in the event of any thing else not here stated, belonging to the estate in question being discovered to render a true account thereof to the Orphan Chamber, with the view to the same being added to this inventory. In witness whereof the appearer has hereunto affixed her signature in the presence of the undersigned commissioned Members of the Orphan Board and of me the Chief Clerk.
