MOOC8/48.39 {18320424} 24 April 1832 Geesje Wilhelmina Cloete Exhibited 25 April 1832, exhibited 2 May 1832 Inventory of all such property as has been relinquished by the death of Geesje Wilhelmina Cloete widow of the late Jacob van Reenen J:G: son on the 21:st day of the month of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two. The deceased having by a private sealed will executed by her on the 11:th February last, after having bequeathed several legacies appointed to be her sole and universal heir her son Jacob Samuel van Reenen born on the 11:th January 1819 and conditioned that of the inheritance which will devolve to him from her estate a sum of fifty thousand guilders Ind: val: shall be entailed with fideicommissum. The deceased having further appointed the Board of Orphan Masters to be the executors of her last will and administering guardians of her minor son, and Sebastiaan Valentyn Cloete, Samuel Bailey and David Johannes Kuys, superintending guardians of her said son. In consequence whereof the undersigned commissioned Member of the Board having proceeded to take an inventory of the estate and previously removed the seals fixed on the property which were whole and unbroken, found the same to consist as follows At the house of Mrs the wid: Hendrik Cloete The slaves above named with the executors of those in whose respect no acquisition has been made are allowed a term of six weeks to choose their master, on payment by them respectively, of such sum as shall be fixed by the Protector of Slaves. Thus done and inventoried at the house aforesaid on the 24 April 1832 according to a statement made by mess:rs Sebastiaan Valentyn Cloete and Daniel Kuys who declared to have acted herein bona fide and that to the best of their knowledge they have not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate and the said appearers further declared that they are and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm their statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property belonging to the aforesaid estate might be discovered they will faithfuly communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered.
