Cornelia Sophia Johanna
van Schoor
Inventory of all such property as has been relinquished by the death of
Cornelia Sophia Johanna van Schoor on the twenty sixth day of the month of
January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty
three.
The deceased having by her last will and testament executed on the 15
January 1833 before the Notary Egbert Andries Buyskes and witnesses after
having bequeathed several legacies appointed as her sole and universal heirs
her three children, viz:t
and has further requested and appointed the Board of Orphan Masters to be
the executors of her last will and guardians of her minor heirs.
In consequence whereof the undersigned commissioned Member of the Orphan
Board has taken the said estate under proper inventory and found the same to
consist as follows
At the house of Mr Griffiths occupied by Mr Advocate H:R: van Ryneveld,
Roeland Street
Thus done and inventoried at the house aforesaid at the Cape of Good Hope
on the 2:d February 1833 according to the statement made by Mr Helperus Ritzema
van Ryneveld who declared to have acted herein bona fide and that to the best
of his knowledge he has not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the
aforesaid estate and the said appearer further declared that he is and will at
all times be ready and willing to confirm his statement by solemn oath if
required, promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents
any property belonging to the aforesaid estate may be discovered he will
faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this
inventory with the property so discovered.
In witness whereof I, the Commissioner, together with the appearer and me,
the Secretary, have subscribed to these presents

I the undersigned William Nicolai van der Riet do hereby acknowledge to
have received for account of my children Fredrica Johanna and Catharina Augusta
van der Riet the articles of wearing apparel bequeathed to them by the late
Cornelia Sophia Johanna van Schoor, as also a red Morocco work box containing a
gilt dessert fork and spoon, and a dressing box containing tooth brushes,
lavender water, etc:a forwarded to my said daugther after the death of the said
C:S:J: van Schoor.
I further acknowledge to have received from the Secretary to the Orphan
Board to and for the use of my aforesaid children the following articles of
jewellery bequeathed to them by the late Cornelia Sophia Johanna van Schoor,
viz:t
