MOOC8/47.42 {18320128} 28 January 1832 James Gordon Inventory of all such property as has been relinquished by the death ab intestato of James Gordon who died at his request place called Winterhook at Winterberg in the field cornetcy of East Riet River on the 20:th December 1831 for the benefit of his surviving widow Gertruda Maria Gordon and his undermentioned children procreated in lawful wedlock with the aforesaid James Gordon Thus inventoried at the request place of the late James Gordon situated at Winterhook on the 28 day of January 1832 according to a statement made by Gertruida Maria Bothma widow of the aforesaid James Gordon who declared to have acted herein bona fide and that to the best of her knowledge and belief she has not withheld or secreted any property belonging to the estate aforesaid and the appearer further declares that she is and will be at any time ready and willing to confirm the same by solemn oath if required, promissing at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property belonging to this estate may be discovered she will faithfully communicate to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property as discovered.
