MOOC8/47.38 {18321004} 4 October 1832 Johan Christoph Hetzeroth folio 10, Cape Town Sale 20 Octob: 1832 Inventory of all such property as has been relinquished by the death of Johan Christoph Hetzeroth on Monday the 1:st day of the month of October in the year of our Lord one thouand eight hundred and thirty two. The deceased having by his last will and testament executed on the 15:th March 1830 executed before the Notary Public Jacobus Petrus de Wet and witnesses after having bequeathed several legacies appointed as his sole and universal heiress his only daughter Catharina Elizabeth Hetzeroth widow of the late Jan Michiel Fortuer which inheritance is entailed with fidei commissum and further requested and appointed the Board of Orphan Masters to be and to act as executor and guardians over the minor heirs in said will. In consequene whereof the undersigned commissioned Member of the Orphan Board has taken the said estate under proper inventory and found the same to consist as follows In the house N:o 21 Leuwe Street Thus done and inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope on the 4:th day of the month of October 1832 according to a statement made by Catharina Elisabeth Hetzeroth widow of Jan Michial Fortuer, who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of her knowledge she has not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate and the said appearer further declared that she is and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm her statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property belonging to aforesaid estate might be discovered she will faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered. In witness whereof I the Commissioner together with the appearer and me the Chief Clerk have subscribed to these presents. A house and premises situated in this Table Valley at the Waterkant (bequeathed by the deceased to his grand daughter Anna Carolina Fortuer) for the sum of twelve thousand guilders Indian valuation or three hundred pounds st:g
a house and premises situated in this Table Valley in Leuwe Street N:o 21 (bequeathed to his grand daughter Helena Philipina Fredrica Fortuer for the sum of six thousand guilders Indian valuation or one hundred and fifty pounds sterling
