MOOC8/47.14 {18310903} 3 September 1831 Geertruyda Johanna van Goeverden Sale 19 September 1831 Inventory of all such property as has been relinquished by the death of Geertruyda Johanna van Goeverden wid: of the late Petrus Johannes Keeve on the 30:th da of the month of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one. The deceased having by her last will and testament executed on the 30:th August 1831 before the Notary Public Johannes Nicolaas Meeser and witnesses appointed as her sole and universal heirs, the children procreated in wedlock with her predeceased husband, namely and has further requested and appointed the Board of Orphan Masters to be and to act as executors and guardians over the minor heirs. In consequence whereof the undersigned commisioned Members of the Board aforesaid have taken the joint estate under proper inventory and found the same to consist in the following, viz:t Thus inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope on the 3:d Septemb: 1831 according to the statement made by Jan Daniel Ekermans married to Johanna Josina Keeve, Petrus Joh:s Keeve and Aletta Jaoba Keeve, who declared to have acted herein bona fide and that to the best of their knowledge they have not withheld of secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate, and the said appearers further declare that they are and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm their statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property belonging to the aforesaid estate might be discovered will faithfully communicate it to the Orph: Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered.
