MOOC8/46.54 {18290403} 3 April 1829 Maria Rykheer Inventory of all such property as has been relinquished by the death ab intestato of Maria Rykheer formerly married to Hendrik Jankowits and predeceased husband Marthinus Hermanus le Roes on the twenty seventh day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight for the benefit of her undermentioned The aforesaid property having been taken under the administration of the Board of Orphan Masters, at the Cape of Good Hope and been inventoried by the undersigned Special Commissioners of the Board aforesaid was found to consist in the following, viz: aforesaid Mrs Byleveld states that the deceased is one of the heirs of the late Cornelia Salomé le Rous and Mrs Notary de Wit as having administered her property has still to amount for the same. Thus done and inventoried in Cape Town Cape of Good Hope at the house aforesaid on the 3:d April 1829 according to a statement made by aforesaid Mrs Byleveld J:C:C:N: le Roes who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of their knowledge they have not withheld or secreted any that belonged to the aforesaid estate, and the said appearers further declared that they are and will at all times be ready and willing if required to confirm their statement by solemn oath if required, promising that if after the date of these presents any property might be discovered will faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered In witness whereof we, the Commissioners, together with the appearers and me, the Secretary, have subscribed to these presents As Commissioners: F: Brand, C: Blanckenberg M: le Roes, huijsvrouw van H:A: Beijleveld, Johannes le Roes My present: J:J:L: Smuts

The aforesaid Magdalena le Roux wife of H:A: Byleveld states that there is a certain piece of perpetual quitrent land, with buildings erected thereon, situated in the Cape Flats , which belongs to this estate, at present occupied by Daniel Tobias Brandt, that it was agreed by her late father and said Brandt, that the latter should transfer to the former certain house and erff being the property of said Brandt in lieu of said piece of perpetual quitrent land at the valuation on both parts of ƒ5000 that transfer duty by both have been paid by the transfer never executed owing to a mortgage of Rd:s1000 with which said house was incumbered, that in consequence the aforesaid house had been sold in Septemb: last for account of said Brandt
