MOOC8/46.47 {18320116} 16 January 1832 Servaas de Kock Exhibited 18 January 1832 Inventory of all such property as has been relinquished by the death of Servaas de Kock senior on the twelfth day of the month of January in the year of our [ ..... ] one thousand eight hundred and thirty two. The deceased having by his last will and testament executed by him on the 22 August 1828 before the Notary Public Mr Michiel Adriaan Smuts and witnesses after having bequeathed several legacies appointed to be his sole and universal heirs the children, procreated in wedlock with his foredeceased wife Aletta Johanna Lourens, namely The survivor having further requested the Board of Orphan Masters to be and to act as executors and guardians over the minor heirs in said will in consequence whereof the undersigned commissioned Member of the Orphan Board has taken the said estate under proper inventory and found the same to consist as follows, viz: waterfall of the Silverleaf at the foot of the Table Mountain measuring 20 ft 527 gall. 105 ditch In the dwelling house of the garden Uytkyk Thus done and inventoried at the garden aforesaid according the statement made by aforesaid heirs, who declared to have acted herein bonafide, and that to the best of their knowledge they have not withheld or secreted anything that belonged to the aforesaid estate, and the said appearers further declared that they are and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm their statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property belonging to aforesaid estate might be discovered will faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered. In witness whereof the Commissioner together with the appearers and me, the Chief Clerk, have subscribed to these presents on the 16 day of January 1832.
