MOOC8/45.92 {18280509} 9 May 1828 Johanna Susanna de Necker Inventory of all such property as has been relinquished by the death of Johanna Susanna de Necker widow of Gideon Rossouw on the fifth day of the month of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight. The deceased having by her last will and testament executed on the 25 Septemb:r 1826 before the Notary Public Mr Jacobus Petrus de Wet and witnesses, appointed (after having bequeathed several legacies) her sole and universal heirs her children and grand child, namely And having further requested and appointed in the aforesaid will the Worshipful the Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony to be her executors and guardians over the minor heirs. In consequence of which the aforesaid property was duly inventoried by the undersigned commissioned Members of the Orphan Board and found to consist in the following, viz In a house of Mr Bressler lately occupied by the deceased The clothes of the deceased as well those bequeathed to A:B:E: Cox will be enumerated in a list and annexed to this inventory Thus inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope on the 9 day of May 1828 according to a statement made by the heirs William Thompson and Pieter Daniel Rossouw, who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of their knowledge they have not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate And the same appearers further declared that they are, and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm their statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time, that if after the date of these presents any property of this estate might be discovered shall faihfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber, in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered In witness whereof we the undersigned Commis: together with the appearers and me the Secretary have subscribed to these presents As Commissioners: Fr: Brand, P: Blanckenberg P: Rousseau W:m Thompson In my presence [ ..... ] Ampliation List of wearing apparel etc: of the late Mrs wid:w Gid:n Rousseau.
