MOOC8/45.65 {18270712} 12 July 1827 Leonora Loret Inventory of all such property as have been been relinquished by the death of Leonora Loret late widow of Johannes Guilliaume van Helsdingen on the eighth day of the month of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven. The deceased having by her last will and testament executed on the 18:th February 1824 and duly sealed up and covered in the presence of the Notary Public Rynier Beck and witnesses according to a subscription dated 10 May 1824 appointed as her sole and universal heirs her children procreated in two separate wedlocks, named The deceased having by said will entailed with fidei commis the inheritances of her children Jacobus Petrus Coetzer, Salomon Johannes van Helsdingen, en Johannes Christophel van Helsdingen as also that of her grand daughter Leonora Maria van Helsdingen married with Pieter van Dyk. The deceased has further by codicil executed on the 27th June 1827 before the Notary Willem Adriaan Wentzel and witnesses appointed the Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony to be and to act as her executors administrators of her property and guardians over her minor heirs and has further cancelled that part of her aforesaid will by which the share of inheritance of her aforesaid grand daughter Leonora Maria van Helsdingen married with Pieter van Dyk has been entailed with fidei commis In consequence of which the aforesaid property has been duly inventoried by the undersigned special Commissioners from the Orphan Board and was found to consist in the following, viz:t At the house of Mrs the widow Abraham Brunt situated at the corner of the Vrede Street and the Tuin Plein . Thus inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope in the house aforesaid on the twelfth day of the month of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven according to a statement made by Daniel Russouw, Jan Nicolaas Russouw, the widow Brunt and Jacobus Petrus Coetzer who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of their knowledge they have not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to aforesaid estate and the said appearers further declared that they are and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm their statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time, that if after the date of these presents any property of the estate might be discovered shall and will faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered.
