Voget
Inventory of all such property as have been relinquished by the death ab
intestato of Johannes Henricus Voget on the second day of the month of May in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven for the
benefit of his only minor son procreated in wedlock with his predeceased wife
Elisabeth Catharina Jacoba de Wet named Henricus Coens Voget born on the 29
July 1817.
The aforesaid property having been inventoried by the undersigned
commissioned Members from the Board of Orphan Masters and was found to consist
in the following, viz:t

Which last mentiond slave

of the Cape declared to the undersigned Commissioners, that his late
master agreed to allow him his freedom on his paying the sum of one thousand
eight hundred rixdollars and produced in confirmation of this statement that he
has actually paid the sum of Rd:s300 in part thereof.
Mem: It is here noticed that there is still belonging to the estate some
fustage and wine cellar utensils, which are let to Mr Willem Liesching, of
which a specific list will be annexed to this inventory.
Thus done and inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope on the ninth day of May
1827 according to a statement of Mrs the widow J:C: de Wet who declared to have
acted with good faith in this respect, and not to have kept any thing concealed
belonging to the estate, declaring that she is willing and ready at all times
to confirm this her statement by solemn oath if required promising further that
should afterwards be found any thing not here stated to delivered true account
thereof to the Orphan Chamber in order to be added to this inventory

These are to certify, that, in compliance with the regulations set forth
by proclamation of the 26:th of April, 1816, the following slave, reported at
the Office by Mr Johannes Henricus Voget as his property, has been duly
registered as such, according to a schedule, verified by his sign manual,
