MOOC8/45.47 {18270426} 26 April 1827 Johan Willem Palm The will in the hands of Mr Barker 6 March 1830 Inventory of all such property as have been relinquished by the death of Johan Willem Palm on the twenty fourth day of the month of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven. The deceased having by his last will and testament executed on the 3:d February 1826 before the Notary Public Mr Jacobus Petrus de Wet and certain witnesses appointed as his sole and universal heirs his children, named /:the inheritances of said children to be entailed with fidei commis:/ and has further requested and appointed in said will the Worshipful Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony to be, and to act as his executors. In consequence of which the aforesaid property was duly inventoried by the undersigned special Commissioners from the Orphan Board and was found to consist in the following, viz:t In the mill called Palmboom situated at the Rondeboschje where the deceased died Thus inventoried on the 26:th April 1826 and will be continued in Cape Town at the house of the deceased The abovementioned Johan Willem Palm and Johan Godlieb Voogd further state that their sister and sister in law Anna Maria is indebted to the deceased sums of money which the deceased had advanced on her acount the amount of which they cannot ascertain Thus inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope in the apartments aforesaid on the 26:th and 27t:h days of the month of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven according to the statement made by the aforesaid Johan Willem Palm and Johan Godlieb Voogd who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of their knowledge have not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate and the said appearers further declared that they are and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm their statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property of this estate might be discovered shall faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered. In witness whereof we the Commissioners together with the appearers and the Secetary have subscribed to these presents.
