MOOC8/45.103 {18310217} 17 February 1831 Jacobus Hendrik Oppel Exhibited 4 March 1831 Sale for the 12 March 1831 Inventory of all such property as has been relinquished by the intestate death of Jacobus Hendrik Oppel on the 16:th day of the month of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one for the benefit of his five minor children procreated in wedlock with his predeceased wife Petronella Barendina Voges, namely The aforesaid property having been taken under the administration of the Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony in behalf of the aforesaid heirs, and been inventoried was found to consist in the following, viz:t At the house of Mr Paul Oppel Thus inventoried at the house aforesaid on the 17 February 1831 according to a statement made by his mother Johanna Catharina Gortschalk wife of Paul Oppel who declared to have acted herein bona fide, and that to the best of her knowledge, she has not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to said estate, and the same appearer further declared that she is and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm her statement by solem oath if required.
