MOOC8/44.8 {18281106} 6 November 1828 Helena Catharina Krugel Friday 28 Nov: 1828 Inventory of all such property as have been relinquished by the death of Helena Catharina Krugel formerly married to Pieter Roux and now separated wife of the late reverend Johan Wilhelm Ludwich Gebhard on the fifth day of the month of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight. The testatrice having by her last will and testament executed on the 13 July 1826 before the Notary Public Rynier Beck and certain witnesses after having bequeathed several legacies appointed as her sole and universal heirs, namely and in the event of their demise their lawfull descendents by representation and has further in aforesaid will appointed the Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony to be and to act as her executors administrators and guardian over the minor heirs. In consequence of which the aforesaid property has been duly inventoried by the inventoried by the undersigned special Commissioners from the Orphan Board and was found to consist in the following, viz:t Thus done and inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope on the 6:th of Novemb: 1828 at the house aforesaid according to a statement made by Miss [ ..... ] Watney and Pieter Watney who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of their knowledge they have not withheld or secreted any thing that belongs to the aforesaid estate, promising at the same time if after the date of these presents any property belonging to the said estate might be discovered, will faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered. In witness whereof we the Commissioners together with the appearers and me the Secretary have subscribed to these presents.
