MOOC8/44.7 {18250405} 5 April 1825 Frans Rynhard Bresler Maria Elizabeth Brink Inventory of the joint property of Frans Rynhard Bresler Esq:re late member of the worshipful the Court of Justice and his wife Maria Elizabeth Brink formerly widow to Mr Jacobus Christoffel de Wit relinquished by the death of the firstmentioned on the twenty eighth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five at [ ..... ] o’ clock in the morning. The deceased having by his last will and testament executed jointly with his aforesaid wife on the 11:th August 1825 before the Notary Franciscus Xaverius Lind and witnesses instituted and appointed his sole and universal heirs his wife Maria Elizabeth Brink aforesaid together with his two children procreated in former marriage by his first wife Sara Brand, named And further by his aforesaid will and testament requested and appointed the worshipful Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony to be and to act as his executors. In consequence of which the aforesaid property (after the seals of office has been removed) was duly inventoried by the undersigned special commissioners from the Orphan Board and was found to consist in the following, viz:t Thus inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope in the firstmentioned house on the 5:t, 7:t and 8:th days of the month of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty five according to a statement made by the aforesaid widow and children of the deceased, who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of their knowlegde and that they have not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate, the said appearers further declared that they are and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm their statement by solemn oath if required promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property of this estate might be discoverd they shall faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order that this inventory may be amplified with the property so discovered.
