The Wildcard Search

In order to make use of our Wildcard Search function, you can simply make use of the percentage (%) sign when conducting a search.

MOOC8/44.17 {18270109} 9 January 1827 Biorn Magnussen Inventory of the property of Biorn Magnussen relinquished by his death on the fourth day of the month of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven at a quarter past six o’clock p:m: The deceased having by his last will and testament executed before the Notary Public Willem Adrian Wentzel and witnesses on the 30:th December 1826 instituted and appointed as his sole and universal heirs his brothers and sisters or their descendants. And further by his aforesaid will and testament requested and appointed the worshipful Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony to be and to act as his executors. In consequence of which the aforesaid property (after the seals of office had been removed) was duly inventoried by the undersigned special Commissioners from the Orphan Board and was found to consist in the following, viz:t In a store belonging to Mrs the widow Joh:s Krynauw possessed by the deceased on rent Thus inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope in the store aforesaid on the ninth day of the month of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven according to a statement made by Hans Pietersen who declared to have acted herein bona fide and that to the best ot his knowledge he has not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate and the appearer further declared that he is and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm his statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property of this estate might be discovered shall and will faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify the inventory with the property so discovered. In witness whereof we the Commissioners together with the appearer and the Secretary have subscribed to these presents.
