Inventory of all such property of Charles Johannes van Helsland and
Jeannette Francoise Duminy relinquished by the death of the firstmentioned on
the thirteenth day of the month of May in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and twenty seven. The deceased having by his last will and
testament executed jointly with his aforesaid wife on the 1:st May 1827 before
the Notary Public Mr Jacobus Petrus de Wet and witnesses, appointed his
brothers and sisters abroad as his sole and universal heirs or their decendants
with this condition however that the testatrix shall enjoy the interest thereof
during her life time and after her death to devolve on his aforesaid brothers
and sisters. And has further requested in said will the Board of Orphan Masters
to be and to act as executors of the said will and guardians over his
abovementioned minor heirs, in consequence whereof the undersigned commissioned
members of the Orphan Board have taken the estate under proper inventory and
found the same to consist in the following, viz:t
In the house of Mr Francois de Lettre where the deceased died
This hereby noticed that a separate inventory will be framed of the
property at the aforesaid place Bokkerivier
Thus inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope in the house aforesaid on the
seventeenth day of the month of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and twenty seven according to a statement made by the survivor who
declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of her knowledge
she has not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid
estate, and the said appearer further declared that she is and will at all
times be ready and willing to confirm her statement by solemn oath if required,
promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any
property of this estate might be discovered shall faithfully communicate it to
the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so
discovered.
In witness whereof we the Commissioners together with the appearer and the
Secretary have subscribed to these presents.

Bovenstaande rekeningen aan my ter invordering afgegeven met uitzondering

wylen C:J: van Helsland zal oorgeeven ter plaatze alwaar de verkoping gehouden
zal werden, zal aankomen
