MOOC8/44.11a {18271022} 22 October 1827 Charles Johannes van Helsland Jeanette Francoise Duminy Inventory taken at the place called Bokke Rivier situated along the Rivier Zonder Einde in the district of Swellendam of all such property of Charles Johannes van Helsland and Jeanette Francoise Duminy relinquished by the death of the firstmentioned on the thirteenth day of the month of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven. The deceased having by his last will and testament executed jointly with his aforesaid wife on the 1:st May 1827 before the Notary Public Mr Jacobus Petrus de Wet and witnesses, appointed his brothers and sisters abroad as his sole and universal heirs or their descendants with this condition however that the testatrix shall enjoy the interest thereof during her life time and after her death to devolve on his aforesaid brothers and sisters. And has further requested in said will the Board of Orphan Masters to be and to act as executors of the said will and guardians over his abovementioned minor heirs, in consequence whereof the undersigned commissioned members of the Orphan Board have taken the estate under proper inventory and found the same to consist in the following At the aforesaid place Bokkerivier . Thus inventoried at the aforesaid place called Bokke Rivier on the twenty second day of the month of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven according to a statement made by the survivor and Mr Benjamin Jacob Wilhelm Duminy who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of their knowledge they have not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate and the said appearers further declared that they are and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm their statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property of this estate might be discovered, shall faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber, in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered. In witness whereof we the Commissioners together with the appearers and the Secretary have subscribed to these presents.
