Joh:s Jac:s Theron
Inventory of all such property as has been relinquished by the death ab
intestato of Joh:s Jac:s Theron on the 24th day of the month of December in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight for the benefit of
his mother Alida Adriana Mosterd wedow Joh:s Joachim Theron on the one, and his
brother and sisters, namely
The aforesaid property having been taken under the administration of the
Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony in behalf of the aforesaid heirs and
been inventoried by the undersigned Commissioner of the Board aforesaid was
found to consist in the following, viz:
In a house belonging to Mrs Janfredrik Serrurier and G:W: Meyer as
securities for the mortgages on said house, said house however still stands on
the name of the deceased.
Thus inventoried in Cape Town on the 27 Decemb: 1828 according to a
statement made by Catharina Petronella Neyhoff and Joh:s Joach:s Theron J:z and
in the presence of the A:A: Mostad wed: Joh:s Joach: Theron Senior and Anna
Catharina Hendrina Theron who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that
to the best of their knowledge they have not withheld or secreted anything that
belonged to the aforesaid estate and the said appearer further declared that
they are and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm their statement
by solemn oath if requested, promising at the same time that if after the date
of these presents any property of this estate might be discovered shall
faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this
inventory with the property so discovered
