MOOC8/43.48 {18270512} 12 May 1827 Arend de Waal Inventory of all such property as have been relinquished by the death ab intestato of Arend de Waal Hendrik Son on the ninth day of the month of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven for the benefit of his surviving sister and the children of his two deceased brothers for the descendants of the previously deceased children, namely The aforesaid property having been taken under the administration of the Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony in behalf of the aforesaid minors and been inventoried /:after the seals of office had been removed:/ by the undersigned commissioned Members, was found to consist in the following, viz:t In the aforesaid house Thus inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope in the house aforesaid on the twelfth day of the month of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven according to a statement made by Mr Joh:s Hendrik Hoffmeyer aforesaid and Messrs Johannes Hendrik de Waal and Hendrik Christiaan Blatt who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of their knowledge they have not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate, and the said appearers further declared that they are and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm their statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property of this estate might be discovered, will faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered In witness whereof we the Commissioners together with the appearers and the Secretary have subscribed to these presents As Commissioners: G:E: Overbeek, J: Horne J:H: Hofmeyr s:r, J:H: de Waal, J:z, H: Blatt In my presence: J:J:L: Smuts J:H: Hofmeyer Compliment Hier refers de somma van het erfdeel van de kinderen van H: de Waal 5411 ƒ 10 stuyvers
