A true and perfect inventory of all and every the goods, chatels, wares
and merchandize as well moveable as not, debts, credits and other pesonal
effects of the deceased female Hottentot Marie who died intestate at the place
named
Groot-fontein on the 26th October 1826
between the hours of 3 and 4 a:m: within the fieldcornetcy of Willem Francois
Joubert district
Beaufort and given up as
follows
Thus done and registered on Saturday the 10th of February 1827 at the
village of
Beaufort according to the statement
of Johannes Esterhuyzen senior, who declares his above statement of the estate
having been done honestly and truly and that nothing has been held back to the
best of his knowledge and judgment, and further declares to be always ready if
called upon to solemnize the same by oath, promising and binding himself in the
event of anything further coming to his recollection to add the same to this
inventory.
Thus done by me the undersigned Deputy Landdrost in the presence of the
clerk Christian Johannes Rabe and auctioneer Hartwieg Johannes Luttig as
witnessese
