MOOC8/41.59 {18270403} 3 April 1827 Andrew Dixon Inventory of all such property relinquished by the death ab intestato of Andrew Dixon which happened on the sixteenth day of the month of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven for the benefit of his heirs abroad. The aforesaid property having been taken under the administration of the Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony in behalf of the aforesaid heirs abroad and been inventoried by the by the undersigned special Commissioner of the Board aforesaid was found to consist in the following, viz:t In the house of Mr Edward Durham in Grave Street N:o 3 Claims in favor of the estate a separate list of which will be annexed hereto Thus inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope in the house aforesaid on the third day of the month of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven according to a statement made by Thomas Dixon brother to the deceased, who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of his knowledge he has not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate and the said appearer further declared that he is and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm his statement by solemn oath if required promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property of this estate might be discovered shall and will faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered. In witness whereof I the Commissioner together with the appearer and the Secretary have subscribed to these presents. As Commissioner: J:F: Munnik Thomas Dixon In my presence: J:J:L: Smuts Exh:d the 18 April 1827 n:o 37 Appraisement of the foregoing articles according to the Board’s resolution of the 4:th April 1827 Thereby certify on oath that there are no claims in favor of the estate of my late brother Andrew Dixon.
