MOOC8/41.48 {18250927} 27 September 1825 Elizabeth Gezina Verwey The effects to be had at the house of Abraham Wiid and the books to be send for at the Orphan Chamber to morrow Inventory of all such property as has been relinquished by the death ab intestato of Elizabeth Gezina Verwey, widow of the late Wilhelm Christiaan Schuchard on the twenty fifth day of the month of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five for the benefit of her here aftermentioned heirs at law, viz:t The aforesaid property having been taken under the administration of the Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony in behalf of the aforesaid heirs and been inventoried by the undersigned and was found to consist in the following, viz:t In a house of Mr Wiid, where the deceased had been lodged Thus inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope on the 27:th of September 1825 according to a statement made by Abraham Jacobus Wiid who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of his knowledge he has not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate, and that he is ready and willing to confirm his statement by solemn oath if required promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property might be discovered he shall faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered. In witness whereof I the undersigned together with the appearer and witnesses have subscribed to these presents As witnesses: P:E: Myburgh, J: Overbeek A:m J:s Wiid My presence: J:A: Munnik The said Wiid also stated that the deceased has still a claim on the burgher senate for two months hire of the aforesaid male slave Gabriel
