MOOC8/41.3 {18250628} 28 June 1825 Johan Philip Wagener Inventory of the property of Johan Philip Wagener born in Hessedarmstad relinquished by his death on the seventeenth day of the month of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five at [ ..... ] o’clock in the afternoon. The deceased having by his last will and testament executed on the 4:th of June 1825 before the Notary Willem Adriaan Wentzel and witnesses appointed (after having bequeathed several legacies) his sole and universal heir his daughter which inheritance is entailed with fidei commis and which fidei commis is subject to the conditions expressed in said will. And having further requested and appointed in the aforesaid will the Worshipful Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony to be his executors and guardian of the said minor heir. In consequence of which the aforesaid property (after the seals of Office has been removed) was duly inventoried by the undersigned special Commissioners from the Orphan Board and was found to consist in the following, viz: In the above house L:a A: , being the dwelling house of the deceased Thus inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope in the house aforesaid on the 28:th day of the month of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twinty five according to a statement made by Catharina Esbach and Christina Fredrica Wagener who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of their knowledge they has not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate and the said appearers further declared that they are and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm their statement by solemn oath if required promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property of this estate might be discovered they shall faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered. In witness whereof we the undersigned Commissioners together with the appearers and the Secretary have subscribe to these presents.
