MOOC8/41.24 {18261005} 5 October 1826 Charles Johannes Pretorius , Maria Magdalena Christina Pretorius J:H: de Wet A true and perfect inventory of all the goods, chattels, wares and merchandize as well moveable as not, debts, credits and other personal effects of Charles Johannes Pretorius Joh:s son and his late wife Maria Magdalena Christina Pretorius Gerrits’ daughter, which latter died intestate at the place Riet Poort , Nieuweveld in the fieldcornetcy of Mr C:L: de Clercq district of Beaufort on the 27:th July 1825 between the hours of 4 and 5 a:m: and given up as follows Thus done and registered on Thursday the 5:th October 1826 at the village of Beaufort according to the statement of Charles Johannes Pretorius Joh:s son who declares in his above statement of this estate having been done honestly and truly and that nothing has been held back to the best of his knowledge and judgement and that he further declares to be always ready if called upon to solemnize the same by oath and that he further promises in the event of any thing further coming to his recollection or knowledge to bind himseld to add the same to this inventory. This done by me the undersigned provisional Deputy Landdrost in the presence of the clerks Christian Johannes Rabe and Hendrik Andreas Truter as witnesses.
