MOOC8/40.59 {18250114} 14 January 1825 Robert Swan Inventory of all such property as has been relinquished by the death (ab intestato) of Robert Swan on the seventh day of the month of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five for the benefit of his unknown heirs. The aforesaid property having been taken under the administration of the Board of Orphan Masters of this Colony on behalf of the said unknown heirs and been inventoried by the undersigned was found to consist in the following, viz:t Mr Murray further states that at the house of Mr Oddy near Wynberg , where Mr Robert Swan died are still the following articles in a portmanteau, viz:t Debts and claims of the estate unknown Thus inventoried at the Cape of Good Hope in the house aforesaid on the 14:th day of the month of January 1825 according to a statement made by Mr John Murray, who declared to have acted herein bonafide and that to the best of his knowledge, he has not withheld or secreted any thing that belonged to the aforesaid estate; and the said appearer further declared that he is and will at all times be ready and willing to confirm this statement by solemn oath if required, promising at the same time that if after the date of these presents any property of this estate might be discovered he shall faithfully communicate it to the Orphan Chamber, in order to amplify this inventory with the property so discovered As commissioner: V: Kuys J:n Murray In my presence: J: Overbeek
