English translation

In the presence of all the members except Lieutenant Nicolas de Jonge of Oosterland.

The Honorable Commander, announcing to the meeting how Captain Dorha, of the Sousequan Hottentots, called Claas by us, had been informed by his brother-in-law Leendert that some of the aforementioned Claas's subordinates had rebelled against him, and that they had risen up in arms, and that he was therefore compelled to ask the Honorable Company for advice and action, and to request orders to follow them in this case, and not to undertake anything against his rebelliousness outside the Honorable Company's knowledge: Thus, after due deliberation, it was understood and decided, noting how much the Honorable Company held in the person of the aforementioned Claas. In connection with the cattle exchange and other loyal services, eight well-armed soldiers under the command of a sergeant of this garrison, fully equipped, were dispatched today and as soon as possible, with instructions to summon the rebellious captains to the Castle with all their consciences, in order to appease them among themselves and to prevent any further eviction and disaster in time. If they could not be persuaded to do so, then to have them attacked by the enemy, assisted by Captain Claas of our aforementioned troops.120

Thus arrested and confined in the Castle of Good Hope on the day and year as aforementioned.
