Presentibus omnibus, demptis E.E. Pad and Roodsteen.
On the nomination of the Reverend Church Council in Stellenbosch, concerning the deacons appointed by Her Reverence for the coming year, it has been decided, after careful consultation, to elect the freeman Lammert Hof77 as deacon from the double number, thus continuing Jan Mostart78 in his ministry as deacon for the coming year. Furthermore, the Reverend Church Council is hereby notified that it is expected to nominate four people at the end of the coming year to nominate the deacons, in order to form the competent and suitable number from this nomination. Furthermore, the Reverend Commander and Council authorizes the Reverend. The aforementioned Church Council has decided to proceed with the confirmations of the espoused person at the appropriate time and place.
Following the nomination made to the Landdrost and the Heemraden (water board members) of Stellenbosch, necessitating the election of the new Heemraden, it was unanimously decided to elect Hans Jurgen Grimp and Matthijs Greev as outgoing Heemraden in place of Gerhard van der Bijl and Henning Huijsing. These, after taking the oath, will sit in their respective councils at the appropriate time and place, namely next January, before the Honorable Commander and Council.

Kerkenraad aan Stellenbosch , nopende de diakonen dewelke dit jaar voor ‘t aanstaande bij Haar Eerw. zijn opgesteld, soo is na rijpe raadspleging verstaan en beslooten uijt ‘t dubbeld getal tot diakonen te verkiesen den vrijman, Lammert Hof,77 sullende Jan Mostart78 in sijn bediening als diaken nog voor ‘t aanstaande jaar continueeren; daarenboven sal de Eerw.Kerkenraad voornt. g’adverteert worden om verdagt te zijn op de nominatie der diakonen op ‘t einde van ‘t aanstaande jaar te stellen 4 persoonen om uijt de nominatie van dien het competent en convenabel getal te konnen formeeren. Verders authoriseerd d’ Ed.Heer Commandeur en Raad den Eerw. Kerkenraadt voornoemt om met de bevestingen van den geeligeerden persoon ter behoorlijke tijd en plaatse voort te varen.

Heer Commandeur en Raad in hun respective collegie sullen sessie nemen.
