In the presence of all the members except Sr. Cornelis Linnes, assumed Scipio, Schagger, Cuijper, Couchouma, Hannibal, Begou & all Hottentot captains.69
Ghabokakama, Hottentot captain, having complained to the meeting how a certain Hottentot woman, Keas Gent., born in the colony of Kouchason, after the death of her first husband, belonging to Captain Khomaské, had left her under his command and married one of his subjects, and that after the death of this her second husband, she had been sent to the Sunquase Hottentots and to the colony of Captain Khomaské. Kees had left, and from there, about a month earlier, had returned to Ghabokakama, and that she had been pursued by the aforementioned Captain Kees and some of his men, in order to force her to turn back. Not being of the same mind, and Ninque, a short distance from Ghabokakama, wanting to defend her and protect her from harassment, she was shot with an arrow by one of the aforementioned Captain Kees's men, so that he died immediately from his wound.
Whereupon the aforementioned Captain Kees, having been heard, and the aforementioned... is known and voluntarily confessed: Thus, after due consultation and discussion of the matter, it has been unanimously understood and approved, in order to prevent and avert in time all estrangement and bloodshed, so that from their mutual misunderstandings and pending disputes, the parties are to be united amicably, and all discontent is to be removed and settled by resolution of the Belgian and the desire for revenge, and to have them reconcile and accept, provided that Captain Kees, in addition to his subordinate Hottentots at Ghabokakama, will have to give, as compensation and redemption for the blood shed by his son, ten cattle and one hundred sheep, as soon as they return to their homes or colonies, and to simultaneously accept their complete satisfaction.
And in the event that Captain Kees, according to the aforementioned conditions, did not arrive, and that he should dare to continue his old ways and relapse into his former excesses, it is understood and decided that the Hottentot captains Scipio, Schagger, Cuijper, Couchouma, Hannibal, Begou, and others, assisted by the Imperial Company, will jointly attack him to punish him rigorously and to the detriment of others.
Thus arrested and confined in the Castle of Good Hope on the date and year as above.

Kees gehoord zijnde, en ‘t gunt voors. staat bekend en vrijwillig beleeden hebbende: So is na rijpe raadspleging en overslag van saake eenpariger stemme verstaan en goedgevonden om alle verwijdering en bloedstorting in tijds voor te komen en te verhoeden, so uijt haar onderling misverstand en swevende geschillen soude konnen ontstaan, partijen in der minne te vereenigen, en alle misnoegen door slissing van belg en wraaksugt weg te neemen en bij te leggen en haar te doen vergelijken en verdragen, mits dat capn.Kees opgemeld, nevens sijn onderhorige Hottentots an Ghabokakama voorn. tot soen en afkoop van ‘t vergote bloed sijns soons, thien runder beesten en honderd schâpen, so haast sij t’ haren huijse of coral sullen gekeerd zijn, sullen hebben te geeven en daarbij bijdersijds hun volkomen genoegen te nemen.
En ingeval ‘t gebeurde dat hij capn.Kees bij ‘t gunt voors. staat niet kwam te verblijven, en dat hij sig verstoutte sijn ouden gang te gaan en wederom tot sijn vorige uijtsporigheden te vervallen; So is verstaan en besloten dat de Hottentots capitainen Scipio, Schagger, Cuijper, Couchouma, Hannibal, Begou &, geädsisteerd van d’ E.Comp. gesamenderhand hem sullen op ‘t lijv vallen om hem rigoureuselijk en anderen ten spigel te straffen.
Aldus geärresteerd en besloten in ‘t Casteel de Goede Hoop ten dage en jaare als boven.
