The Company has unanimously decided to protest, in solemn form, against Govert Roos, Marcelis Kok, Constantinus van der Mart,50 Theunis Jansz de Hoop51 and Lammert Clein, all skippers in the service of the E. Company on the ships Saamslag, Nederland, Spierdijk, Nierop and De Handboogh, currently docked here, for all damage and loss that the E. Company has suffered, or may yet suffer, through its misconduct and neglect of duty in the plundering of the French ships La Normande and Le Coche, to bring the same upon itself and its own people, to the extent that they are entitled to the aforementioned damages. Any person found guilty of trespassing will be liable to prosecution at any time and place, as and when the E.Comp. deems best.

Compagnie by haar wandevoir en pligtversuijm in ‘t plunderen der Franse scheepen La Normande en Le Coche geleden heeft, of nog soude komen te lijden, om deselve op haar en de haare, voor sooveel zij aan ‘t voors. pligtversuijm sullen schuldig bevonden werden, ten allen tijde en plaatse te verhaalen, soo en als ‘t de E.Comp. best sal te rade worden.
