Noting the numerous intercessions made on behalf of Jochum Elbertsz of Amsterdam, clerk, and Hans Swansz of Maesterlant, boss, who had been in the Comps. service, and arrived here, all of them with the ship Goudtsblom, as well as others. 1654 in the month of September272 having also conspired to run down the garrison the Red Fox & others, for which, according to the sentence of 19 January 1655, together with some other penalties were added to the chain, one for 12 and the other for 6 years. Was approved by the Commander and Council, because they had since then also been quite diligent and diligent in the forest sawing wood and doing other heavy work, on the aforementioned multiple recommendations, especially from the Commander. and to release the other women, as well as all the officials and the general population of this fortress, from the aforementioned chain and ban, in consideration of their improved communes, etc.; and also to allow both of them, as chiefs, to earn ten guilders a month, starting today, and to remain bound, in addition to their first ban, the Holy Company, to serve for another three years.
