English translation

In the presence of all the members except Mr. J. van Keulen.

The Reverend Commender, having taken note of the well-being of the Company's serf, and desiring that they be maintained in attire, as well as in suitable food, and in accordance with the good will of our Lord Masters; it has been unanimously decided that, in addition to their usual ration, they should be provided with the heads, feet, intestines, and other offal of the Company's cattle slaughtered here. To this end, the internal and external mothers will take good care that the aforementioned offal, cooked into pottage, is properly and properly distributed to the slaves. Occasionally, some old and worn-out oxen, after being brought to pasture in Hottentot Holland, will also be provided to them.

Furthermore, it has been decided that the Company To appoint a midwife, Aletta Kaisers, as a housekeeper in the hospital under the supervision of the outgoing fathers and mothers, for the comfort and well-being of the sick and to provide them with adequate food and drink, and to this end to grant her a monthly salary of twelve guilders, in addition to adequate housing, on behalf of the E.Comp. [36]

Thus arrested and confined in the Castle of Good Hope, for the year and day as above.
