English translation

Furthermore, the Company's small vessel, with its constant mooring in the open air and strong sunshine, was equipped in such a way that almost constantly, something could be done to repair it. The cost of the chaloupes and boats, as a result, is already quite high throughout the year. To prevent this as much as possible, it has been well-founded to choose a suitable location in the Southern River for this purpose, to have a mooring 10 meters long, covered with reeds at the top, without wanting to doubt that much work and tar will be saved from it during the year.

Since the residence for the chief surgeon at the hospital is inadequate for the required accommodation, and is understood to be quite clean, it has been decided to extend it to a length of 20 feet, which can be done at little or no expense, and nothing other than old woodwork and Cape stones will be used for this purpose.

Thus arrested at the Castle of Good Hope, date of the supr.
