Sullende in the roach. Neither were any further goods brought in from the Burgh van Leijden's cargo as could be adequately taken, after which the advice of the respective skippers would be consulted.
We have heard that some of the English ship named the Joanna, which ran aground east of the Cape on the 8th of this month, were stopped at the inn outside the flatlands with the citizens and here near the castle, as follows: "It is said that they have been taken away with them, without us knowing whether it belongs to them or has been given into safekeeping by their captain. It has been agreed and understood, in order to prevent the captain from If there is no subsequent objection to this, send 5 or 6 men to seek out the aforementioned Englishmen and bring them into the castle, provided that these residents are instructed by the bailiff to refrain from detaining any of the aforementioned Englishmen, much less to assist them with food or drink, on the grounds of arbitrary correction. The freeholders are also required to report to the Comp., on the grounds mentioned above, any information they may have already received from them.
