It having been presented by the Honourable Commander in Council that some of these settlers, who at their request had been granted a parcel of arable land in a certain region called Stel en Bos, had already transported it there to put it under the plough, but that some of them, concerning the acceptance and covering of the land, could not agree, and much more so came to be theirs to appropriate as their own management, about which there had been various complaints, it was agreed, on the proposal of His Honour, for the prevention of all doleants, that at the first suitable opportunity the sub-merchant and surveyor Wittebol should be sent there to make a map of that region; when everyone here can easily be assigned their farmland, and all strife and disagreement are kept at bay.
Considering that a good quantity of Dutch speck and meat is still effectively stored in the warehouses here, which, due to the small garrison and modest entertainment, the Dutch Company only keeps on hand and cannot be exchanged for long. It has therefore been decided to send 15 barrels of meat and 30 speck to Batavia with the Blaauwen Hulcq, leaving no doubt that this will not be unavoidable there for the great upheaval of India.257
Considering, also in accordance with the previous deliberation, the Dutch Company will benefit the most. understand that the following drinks and sweets on the ship the Blaauwen Hulcq van Ceijlon, brought here, will be priced at such a price as from now on in the Comps. warehouses were sold as:

Door den E. Hr. Commandeur in Raade voorgedragen sijnde, hoe dat eenige deser ingesettenen(sic)aen de welcke op haar versoeck een parceel bouwlandt, aen seecker lantstreeck Stel en bos genaemt, was vergunt, haer reets derwaarts hadden getransporteert om ‘t selve onder de ploegh te brengen, dogh dat eenige daer van, nopende het aenneemen en beslaen van het lant, niet conden accordeeren, en oock veel meer haer quamen toe te eijgenen als conde beheeren, waer over al verscheijde klachten waren geweest, soo is op de propositie van sijn E. tot voorcominge van alle doleantien goet gevonden met de eerste bequaame gelegentheijt den ondercoopman en lantmeeter Wittebol derwaerts te senden om van die lantstreeck een kaartje te maaken; wanneer men alhier bequamelijck een ijder sijn bouwlant sal connen aenwijsen, en alle twist en oneenigheijt geweert blyven.
Geconsidereert dat alhier bij de magasijnen nogh effectief in wesen sijn een goede quantiteijt vaderlants speck en vlees dat vermidts ‘t cleene guarnisoen en sooberen vertier d’ E. Compa. maer aen de handt blijft en geensints nogh in langen tijt connen omgeset werden, Soo is verstaan daervan 15 vaten vlees en 30 speck na Batavia met den Blaauwen Hulcq aff te steecken, niet willende twijfelen off sullen aldaer voor den groote ommeslagh van India niet te onstade comen.257
