In Raade, a certain project for a residence at a certain place called the Cuijle, located halfway between Hottentot Holland and the Cape, was exhibited. It was approved in accordance with a resolution dated January 8 of this year by the Honourable Commander and Council appointed there, with which the entire membership of this present Council has confirmed.
Furthermore, after due deliberation, it was decided that all vacant positions that were available at the time of the appointment of the Honourable Commander, The Commissioner's duties, which could not be forgiven, will be given by the Honourable Commander to such persons as his Honour deems suitable and necessary, as well as to those who may be confidently entrusted with them.
Given that the return fleet has at least been refreshed and prepared to undertake the journey to the dear Fatherland, and that the Honourable Commissioner, reviewing all matters concerning his commission, has now reached a conclusion, as far as possible, it has been unanimously decided to arrest the entire return ship for next Thursday, the 28th of this current month, again and again, granting permission in Goode's name to undertake the journey to the Fatherland.
Taking into consideration that, in the presence of the Honourable Ordinary Councilor Dircq Blom, a resolution dated …230 established that the currently unbuilt cortijn should be covered with a lean-to for the storage of the artillery, while noting the modesty of the residence in the castle for the officials and that another suitable location for this purpose has already been considered.231 It is therefore considered good for the aforementioned. to build a suitable dwelling on the spot, intended to serve as residences for the qualified ministers, as well as for the respective accounting and armory, but since the place is 18 feet wide on one side and only 15 feet on the other, it was deemed best to prevent irregularities, as well as the fact that no suitable dwelling could be built within the width, except that the difference in costs would consist solely in the end walls and planks, and that the work in the back of the costs would not be noteworthy, since the beams of sufficient length could be obtained, the carpentry of the said dwelling on the width of 24 to understand the outer width of the Lord Commander's residence, which will then correspond in its entirety to the outer width of the Lord Commander's residence.
One Jacob van Leeuwen, former assistant in the service of the E. Compe., by sentence of the eighth Council of Justice of this castle dated … 233 June 1676 concerning the wounding of a certain person who, according to the judges234, would later have died from the wounds, having been convicted of being shot over the head by a bullet ad vitam on Robben Island, though after seeing that the evidence seemed to be somewhat in his favor235, they, on the authority of his actions and actions, as well as the good testimony given on his behalf and because of his advanced age, released him from his imprisonment236 at the time and set him free to be repatriated.
The late Governor Bax had all the wood and ironwork made into a nThe new carriage, which has remained unfinished until now and continues to lie in vain, without incurring any additional expense, such as the amount of frost required to cover it, which, in addition to remaining in the warehouses, cannot be converted. Furthermore, the current carriage has deteriorated to such an extent due to age that it can no longer be used. Therefore, it has been decided to repair the aforementioned carriage, so that, as stated, no significant expense need be spent on it.
Thus decided and resolved in the Castle of Good Hope on the day and year before.
