The citizen Willem van Dieden appeared at the meeting and had requested that he be allowed to keep a flock of sheep on Dasseneijlandt again, as in previous peaceful times (such as we have now, thank God, experienced again), to also keep them for a year, in case his sheep had to be taken from there to considerable damage, it was promised to him, with the added request that for the first year of the servitude to bring a certain number of sheep to the E. Company for that permit, as was previously obligatory, he be excused on presentation of the 20 previous years that he would gladly bring the old number to the E. Company; After deliberation, it was agreed to grant him permission to re-place sheep on the aforementioned island, and, due to the considerable damage previously suffered with the removal of such sheep, to compensate him in this regard. Specifically, it would be sufficient to provide 20 sheep for the first year of the permit, as well as 40 good and well-fed sheep for the following years, as has been agreed with the E. Company for this year, with the further stipulation that the stocking and populating of the aforementioned island with livestock will always remain at his risk and expense, and outside the E. Company's discretion.
