English translation

Submitted to the Governor in Council, as the Dutch ships stationed here are fully prepared to undertake the journey to Batavia, as well as inspecting the letters and papers to the High Indian Government in readiness, which also constituted some reason to detain these ships here any longer. It was decided not to do so, but to deliver them today. And it is also understood that the marriage between the bookkeeper of the ship Schouwen, Zacharias Coenraats, young man, and the honorable Elsje Victors, young daughter, is confirmed in the Political Council, since the immediate departure of the ships is to take place after the three aforementioned proclamations, as it happened with open doors in the presence of many people (as long as no legal obstacles arose).
