Furthermore, considering Pieter Martensz Abbekerck's reasonable request for a second mate on the ship Goudtsblom at 32 guilders per month, and his arrival here on the captured English yacht, we have named the Caepvoghel 153 for provisional skipper (appointed by the ship's council of the aforementioned Goutsblom without amendment), his request and suitability were confirmed and granted by him in the absolute capacity of skipper, a salary of 54 guilders per month, with a contract of three years commencing today.

Compe. te voldoen, ingaende de gagie den 14en July passado dat als vooren op gemelte jachtjen is g’ordonneert dienst te doen.

Compe. te voldoen ende voortaen d’ oppas, als baes over alle de gemene wercken van de fortificatie steenbackerije &a., te blyven waernemen.
