In deliberation, the decline and poor comportment of the merchant van Breugel, and that, on that basis, he should no longer be delegated to the same position as it has been maintained until now, should be remedied by the administration of the warehouses in one way or another, and that this should be remedied by providing us with at least sufficient attendants to relieve the few servants present, to take charge of one thing or another, finding the institution, and in addition, considering the good conduct of the person Anthoni de Vogel,34 with the ship Schielant, which arrived here from the homeland, it was found good and it was decided to bring him ashore for assistance, and that here it would be [I]mploys in the office of cashier, to relieve the sub-merchant Hendrick Crudop, who will have to manage the warehouse administration in his stead, as soon as he is commissioned to do so, with the promise that, if he has the inclination to continue in this capacity, it would be favorably disposed for his advancement.
