The Governor and Council of this residence, reinforced by E. Jacob Lobs, designated Commander of Ceylon, and E. Cornelis Valconier, Commander of the present return ships in Council, having examined a seeker extract from the letter written by Their Honor, the Commissioners, at the meeting of the Seventeen, dated 8 March 1675, to the High Government in Batavia and also sent here in copy by the ship Couwerve, dictating, among other things, that Their Honor will give orders there regarding the return ships that are scheduled to depart from Batavia in October, November and December of the year 1675, against their arrival at the Cape, after which their advances will have to be regulated, as well as a summary of the instructions by Their Honor. on Batavia for the said E. Commander Valkonier and the Broad Council of the present return ships conceived, among other things stating that His E. having arrived here with love, would further have to follow the order that concerning the return ships from the homeland might have arrived in loco, but not hearing any, to continue their journey to the dear homeland as quickly as possible according to enjoyed refreshments, with indication of such course as is noted therein above; and noting that up to now the aforementioned promised order has not been fulfilled, as well as that no firm statement can be made on its appearance, except that the times have changed so significantly due to the making of peace with the crown England, at least16, so that, taking into consideration a few things regarding this important point, having considered it thoroughly, it has been resolved and established with common advice that the aforementioned order of Her E.E. to Batavia should be punctually pursued and that consequently the present return ships, as well as the ship Middelburg, should appear in the meantime or not, in the coming week, as soon as it can be arranged, should be dispatched to To further advance her voyage to the Fatherland in God's name.

As it has also been decided in view of the fact that the Majors, two years in a row, have ordered the return fleet departing from here to attach a small ship or other vessel to it to serve as a fore-sailor, if necessary. The small ship Croonvogel will be appropriated for this purpose and the aforementioned fleet will be attached to it to serve as a fore-sailor.

Thus resolved at the Fort of Good Hope on the day and year of the aforementioned date.
