Written by the commissioners for the interrogation and examination of the assistant Andries Meijer on the ship Asia, concerning various infidelities and other excesses committed by him after the death of the ship's captains, both in the alienation of the deceased's remaining goods and otherwise perpetrated on the said ship,141 it was reported in Council that the latter denied all the accusations and had rejected them as frivolous and untruthful, notwithstanding that Meijer, upon confrontation with the witnesses and the son of the deceased Preacher Demetrius,142 the actions committed were sufficiently clear to him, and provided that in order to bring this matter to an end here, whatever time would be needed towing and where the aforementioned ship could not be detained, it was decided, after the previous deliberation, that the aforementioned Meijer should be bound and revoyed to Batavia by the ship Zuijdt Polsbroeck, outside of service, with the pieces invented at his expense to be brought to justice there.
Thus resolved at Fort d'Goede Hoope on the day and year aforesaid.

Door d’ gecommitteerdens tot het verhooren en examineren van den adsistent Andries Meijer bescheijden op ‘t schip Asia , ter saeke van verscheijde trouwloosheden en andere excessen bij hem na ‘t overlijden van de scheepsopperhoofden soo in ‘t veralieneren van der overledens naargelaeten goederen als anderssints op geseijde schip geperpetreert,141 in Raede gerapporteert sijnde dat d’selve alle ‘t te laste geleijde rondtuijt ontkent ende als frivool en onwaerachtigh had gerefuteert, niet tegenstaande hem, Meijer, soo bij confrontatie der getuijgen als het soontje van den overleden Predicant Demetrius142 sijn gepleegde actien genoegsaam sonnenclaer waeren aangewesen, En mits dien om die saeke alhier te termineren, nogh al wat tijdts nae sigh soude sleepen en waarnae ‘t voors. schip niet kan opgehouden werden, so is naer voorgaande deliberatie verstaan, gemelde Meijer per ‘t schip Zuijdt Polsbroeck buijten bedieninge geboeijt naer Batavia te renvoijeren, mette stucken tot sijnen laste uijtgevonden om aldaar vorder te regt gestelt te werden.
