English translation

Having been deliberated, it is resolved, the order of the Lords Majores, contained in a seeker77 deed, dated in The Hague, 19th April of this year, by the said Her Nobility, the Councillor Extraordinary78 and Governor Isbrant Goske79 herewith given, to open here: containing, among other things, to have the ship Zuijt Polsbroeck stay here until further order, and to ship from the cargo to the flute vessels Saxenburg and Cattenburg the cash and all other goods, as these ships could suitably carry to Batavia: Her said Ede. Order to execute as soon as possible, with the aim of forcing Saxenburg to resume its journey the following Saturday. However, since no provision can be made for the arrival of Cattenburg, nor will any vacant space be available, and Saxenburg has little or no goods, as well as sufficient cargo from Zuijt Polsbroex, to ship it in its entirety to Saxenburg, so that Her Honor in Batavia might be served all the sooner.

Also to send there the gold consisting of 250 pistols, projected from the homeland for the slave trade to Angola, as it is inaccessible here and is useful for the Indian trade; in addition to ten tons of olive oil from our remaining supplies and a certain chest of copper, accidentally landed from the ship Middelburgh instead of a chest of shovels and spades; and that the 50 marc silver, or 908 1/2 Spanish reals, received from the fluyt marcs, will be retained for use from time to time for any other occasion. As per the previous mature deliberation, they understand that in three years no medicines, other than a small chest of extraordinary size, have been supplied, as a result of which the present are so destitute that the sick, with which 'hospital80 besides that of the garrison, from the passing ships, usually loaded in large numbers, could not be helped, besides which (God forbid) they also have at least some time to be prepared and equipped against the enemy's arrival: they also have no knowledge, nor can they make the slightest assumption, when the medicines will be sent from the homeland to South Polsbroek. Batavia is designated to raise as much as it needs at a later date.

Thus resolved in the Fortress of Good Hope on the day and year mentioned above.
