English translation

Besides the fact that Swaentje is currently not known to be employed in anything else, by having the order to Batavia of our Lords and Masters from the fatherland recently ordered by the hooker d' Lijster, already accomplished before the return of the said ship here, as well as our intention to send it afterwards to Ceylon for the sake of certainty, because the appearance of the hooker d' Loerij recently passed over this angle there, also altered, and so it is placed outside the apparent possibility with us that Bulckesteijn, destined directly from the Fatherland to Surat, by long delay took his course past this place, or rather, no, Her Your Honor, ministers in those regions, will have received sufficient advice from the state of our country by land, and that the aforementioned ship, if it receives further reasonable news from Europe, would not be inappropriate to convey these from here to India as soon as possible.

Thus arrested and resolved in the Fortress of Good Hope, date above.
