English translation

As Coenradus Urbamis86 , a free citizen here, having come over from Dassen Island87 to Robben Island on the 16th of May of this year, he carefully considered the cause of the death of the E. Comps. sheep already there, ordered to graze, and therefore affirms, to the best of his knowledge, that this could be remedied if the fresh sheep were brought to the Cape in a warm stable and well fed, after they were unable to find their food on the fresh island. Fearing that all of them would inevitably die due to the continuous rain and cold, the Commander and the Council resolved to immediately dispatch the whistle called the Leepelaer with suitable opportunity to collect the sheep in question, in order to preserve them to the best of their ability.

Act in the Fort of Good Hope, 17 May 166[9].
