Today, certain memoranda were brought to the person of Hendr. Lacus, having been extradited, which were to serve to further open and explain many false entries, books closed in his past year, like the same one, in addition to the indication of securities from which the Company could from time to time draw its guarantee, as was recommended by the resolution of the 17th of this month. Upon proper summary of these, it was found that they contained nothing other than a frivolous repetition of his previously handed down writings. He furthermore, not even the slightest indication of any resources under his control, whether here or elsewhere, has resolved at this meeting, and unanimously adopted, to authorize the tax authorities, in accordance with the aforementioned resolution, to file a claim against him and to take further legal action as shall be deemed appropriate in law.
And he notes that Lacus, despite his current inconvenient situation, is not ashamed, nor is he ashamed, either daily, with this person or that person, to spend entire nights in his home, or otherwise keep up an inconvenient house. It is also understood that, in order to avoid any consequences arising from this, he will have to leave immediately from the large central chamber, which he has thus far permitted, and thus remain closed. Furthermore, it is prohibited that no one of the Company's servants, or freemen, may enter his house without the prior knowledge of the fiscal.
Consequently, the German cook, having been in the cabin for his convenience, was enlarged and moved in with the Company, as were all his male and female slaves who would henceforth be employed for the Company, namely, he named Lacus his slave, Louis, and his wife, the Hottentot Zara, at her service and further orders.
Thus done and resolved in the Fort of Good Hope on the day and year aforesaid.

Lacus, overgelevert zijnde, sekere memorien, die zouden dienen, tot nader opening en verclaring van vele valse posten, gebracht, in zijn verleden jare geslotene bouken, gelijk den selven, boven d’ aanwijsing van effecten, waar wt d’ Compe. haar guarant, bij tijt en wijlen soude konnen trecken, als bij resolutie van 17en deser blijct, aanbevolen was; Is bij behoorlijke resumtie van deselve, bevonden, dat niet anders als d’ frivole repetitie van zijn voor dato overgeleverde schriften, waren behelsende; doende hij Lacus, daarenboven genige d’ minste aanwijsing van enige middelen, onder hem, ‘t sij hier off elders berustende, derhalven is te deser vergaderinge geresolveert, en bij eenparigheijt van stemmen vast gestelt, den fiscus bij desen volgens vooraangetogen resolutie, te authoriseren om in sodaniger voegen tegen hem Eijs te maken, en vorder te procederen, als na regten bevinden sullen te behoren.
Ende gemerct hij Lacus niet tegenstaande zijne tegenwoordige ongelegentheijt, sig echter niet en schaamt, noch al dagelijx, so met dese, als gene, in zijne woninge, hele nachten over te debaucheren, en andersints ergerlijk huijs te houden, is mede verstaan, om alle gevolglijkheden daarwt te ontstaan, voor te komen, dat sig aanstonts wt d’ grote middelkamer, hem tot noch toe vergunt, sal hebben te vertrekken en also toegesloten blijven; Nevens verbot dat niemant van Comps. dienaars, off vrijelieden, sonder voorweten van den fiscael t’ sijnen huijse sullen vermogen te komen.
Werdende mits desen mede de duijtse kok, tot zijn gerief in d’ combuijs geweest zijnde, gelargeert, ende bij d’ Compe. ingetrokken, gelijk ook mede alle zijn slaven, en slavinnen, die voortaen tot Comps. werken, sullen werden gebruijct, enelijk hij Lacus zijn slaaf genaemt Louijs, ende zijn huisvrouw d’ Hottentotinne Zara, tot haren dienst en nader order behoudende.
Aldus gedaen ende geresolveert in ‘t Fort de Goede Hoop ten dage endejare voorsz.
