Hans Ras van Angel, young man aged 26, free farmer here, having entered into a marriage vow with Catharina Ufftincx van Lubeeck, widow aged 21, who had been modest on the ship Hoff van Zeelandt, which was most recently designated here, and who appeared together in Council, requesting to be legally confirmed with the other in the Holy State, and to that end to grant permission for their first marriage to be concluded tomorrow after the sermon. The Council (having been unable to learn anything other than that both were free and liberal persons, who, according to their own declaration under presentation of oath, had no relation to anyone in the world in any way in that regard) I have agreed to this decision to consent to its bill request, but to that end, on the morrow after the end of the Christian sermon, to have its first payment made, and also subsequently all Sundays up to the third, including, so that after the last call, the solemnization can be legally effected, and with to continue the loyalty publicly.
Thus done and resolved in the Fort of Good Hope, on the day and the year as above.
